Example research subjects would include:?Experiments to support models of aging mechanisms in lean NOx traps.?Experiments and/or models to explain the function of various hydrocarbons,CO,and hydrogen in lean NOx traps.?Experiments and/or models to improve understanding of diesel particlefilterphenomena at the soot cake layer and filter regeneration.?Experiments and/or models to improve understanding of Selective CatalyticReduction (SCR) processes with either urea or hydrocarbons; low-temperatureoperation with urea SCR; hydrocarbon SCR combined with LTCmodes.
